Curiosity, A Great Sales & Marketing Concept
By Steve Hurst | June 10, 2008
Curiosity is a great concept to use in your sales and marketing strategies. People are always curious. It’s just human nature. And done correctly (and ethically) you can benefit immensely with this one little technique.
The other day I ran across a website that is taking this concept to a new level. Before I tell you about the website, let me ask you….are you using “curiosity” effectively in your business? How many different ways could you be using this powerful motivator to get more customers and to get them to buy more of your products or services?
Take time in the next few days to really analyze how you can be taking advantage of “curiosity” in your business. You just might be surprised.
Now back to the website. As I stated this company is taking the concept of curiosity to a new level. The name of this company is the Something Store:
You send them $10 and they send you “something”. They are appealing to the curiosity in everyone. According to their website, they have sent out 11,727 items (as of the time I’m writing this) in a little over 7 months. That turns out to be over $16,000 per month. Not bad for 7 months.
If this company can capitalize on this, can’t you? So my question still stands…..”Are you using curiosity in your business?”
To Your Success,
Steve
